POSTPONED: Morning Talks on… e-signature

*UPDATE: given the growing health concerns around the new virus COVID-19, we have decided to postpone the first edition of LuxTrust’s Morning Talks (initially scheduled on Tuesday 24 March 2020 at 9 am).

We continue to monitor closely the current situation and once we are confident that it is completely safe to organise public gatherings, we will communicate you the new date of the event.

Being in business for more than 15 years, we have been confronted along time with countless questions about electronic (digital) signatures varying from main features and benefits to compliance and more technical aspects such as API integration. Nowadays, despite its growing popularity, there is still a lack of transparency or lack of (correct) information surrounding certain aspects of an electronic signature and, more generally, eIDAS trust services.

So, we thought that a series of dedicated informative sessions would be a good opportunity to get in contact with you, share our knowledge and answer to your concerns or questions. This is how LuxTrust’s Morning Talks… event is born. Its concept is simple: we meet early in the morning before we go to the office, have breakfast and coffee together, then we dive into a specific topic of interest for you for around 1.30 – 2 hours maximum.

The very first edition of Morning Talks… will take place:

on Tuesday 24 March 2020
between 9.00 am and 11.15 am
at The Office – Luxembourg city centre
(29 Boulevard Prince Henri, L-1724 Luxembourg)

The hot topic for this first edition is, as you have probably guessed already, the electronic signature, the opportunities as well as its less obvious challenges – validation and long-term preservation. We will give you an overview of the European legal framework and standards on electronic signature and, more generally, trust services. Then, we will show you how it actually works in practice for the most common business use cases, such as signing an agreement or sealing a document.

Here is a quick glimpse on the agenda:

9.00 am      Registration & welcome breakfast to power up
9.30 am      Brief overview of the European legal framework (from electronic identity to electronic signature and other eIDAS trust services)
9.50 am      The opportunities of electronic signature and its hidden challenges in the long run (validation and long-term preservation)
10.10 am    How does it work in practice? Live demo of various e-signing processes using COSI, our eIDAS trust services hub
11.00 am    Q&A session
